On 15 June 2023, Mr. Firdaus Dahlan, Director of the Centre for Indonesia-Malaysia-Thailand Growth Triangle (IMT-GT) Subregional Cooperation (CIMT), paid a courtesy visit to Mayor of Ipoh, Datuk Rumaizi Baharin. Mr. Firdaus Dahlan was accompanied by Ms. Melissa Mokhtar, Deputy Director of CIMT, Mrs. Raja Saza Nur Aquilla and Mr. Heriawan, Project Coordinators of CIMT.

The visit discussed the preparation for the upcoming Green Cities Mayor Council Meeting (GCMC) and Chief Ministers & Governors Forum (CMGF) to be held in Ipoh in August 2023. CIMT is committed to providing complete and unwavering support to Ipoh in its role as the host city, ensuring that both events being conducted smoothly. They also explored the possibility of collaborating under the IMT transboundary pilot (Urban-Act) in collaboration with UN-ESCAP.
