The 15th IMT-GT Working Group on Transport Connectivity was held on 26 – 27 July at the Hatten Hotel in Melaka, Malaysia. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Prapatpaow Awakul, Director of the International Office of the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Transport, Kingdom of Thailand. Distinguished representatives included Mr. Amiruddin from the Ministry of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia and Mr. Hanisan Bin Hashim Abdullah from the Ministry of Transport, Malaysia. The meeting also featured Mr. Firdaus Dahland, Director of CIMT, and Prof. Dr. Shariman Zainal Abidin, Assistant Vice Chancellor – Internationalization UiTM Global, University Teknologi MARA, representing UNINET.
The objective of the meeting was to update on report on the progress of the Implementation Blueprint 2022-2026. During the meeting, participants addressed several pending projects, including the RORO Dumai-Melaka project. The discussions were fruitful and helped to advance the progress of these important initiatives.
