17 November 2025 — #CIMTConnects: A courtesy visit on the Government of Riau. The CIMT delegations were greeted by Mr. Muhammad Job Kurniawan, Governor’s Assistant for General Affairs to strengthen cooperation in cross-border transportation, connectivity, human capital, and green development.
The discussion covered opportunities to enhance connectivity across the IMT-GT area, updates on the Dumai–Melaka Ro-Ro initiative, labour mobility needs, economic mapping, and ongoing environmental efforts under the Green Riau programme. The meeting also discussed preparations for Riau Province to host the upcoming IMT-GT Green Council Meeting, to be held in 2026, with CIMT providing strategic coordination to ensure broader subregional engagement and alignment.
