CIMT COURTESY VISIT TO MALAYSIA’S NATIONAL SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT (JPSPN)

CIMT Deputy Director, Ms. Duangruetai Surasakjinda, had the privilege of meeting Mr. Ahmad Zuhairi Bin Muzakir, Deputy Director-General of Malaysia’s National Solid Waste Management Department (JPSPN), to discuss activities on solid waste management under the IMT-GT Transboundary Pilot Local Facilitation Project, which is a collaboration between CIMT and UNESCAP.

With support from the City Climate Finance Gap Fund, a pre-feasibility study (PFS) of Green City Solid Waste Management Facility in selected IMT-GT cities will be conducted. As the agency responsible for the overall planning, coordination and implementation of solid waste management policies, JPSPN’s insights and guidance play a crucial role in advancing sustainable solutions and ensuring the project’s success.
