CIMT had the honour of meeting with YB Dato’ Sri Haji Zulkifli Haji Yaacob, State Secretary of Pahang, on 8 November 2024 at Pentadbiran Sultan Ahmad Shah (PPSAS) in Kuantan. Positioned strategically within IMT-GT’s 6th Economic Corridor, Pahang plays a vital role in promoting economic growth and advancing the IMT-GT subregional cooperation.

CIMT warmly encouraged cities in Pahang to join the IMT-GT Green Cities initiative, inviting them to seize the opportunity to develop their own Green City Action Plans (GCAPs), fostering a commitment to sustainable urban development.

Discussions also focused on how Pahang can leverage from the ongoing Visit IMT-GT Year 2023-2025 campaign, fostering mutual growth through strengthened tourism initiatives. CIMT is enthusiastic about strengthening collaboration with Pahang to propel sustainable development across the subregion.
