On April 13, 2023, the Director of Centre for Indonesia-Malaysia-Thailand Growth Triangle (IMT-GT) Subregional Cooperation (CIMT), Mr. Firdaus Dahlan, The Deputy Director of CIMT, Ms. Melissa Mokhtar, and Muhammad Adi Rahman (Project Coordinator & Analyst) paid a courtesy visit to His Excellency Brigadier General (Retired) Dato Paduka Haji Mahmud bin Haji Saidin, the High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam in Kuala Lumpur.
During their friendly visit, Mr. Firdaus Dahlan introduced the High Commissioner to the IMT-GT cooperation and discussed the Joint IMT-GT and BIMP-EAGA Tourism Recovery Communications Plan and Toolkit for the years 2022-2024, which is being assisted by the Asian Development Bank. The purpose of this plan and toolkit is to recover tourism in the IMT-GT and BIMP-EAGA regions by promoting collaboration and communication between the two areas.
This courtessy visit Indicates an important move towards strengthening the warm and cordial relationship between IMT-GT and Brunei Darussalam, highlighting the shared commitment of both entities towards promoting regional cooperation and development.
