On 12 September 2024, H.E. Rafizi Ramli, Malaysia’s Minister of Economy, H.E. Dr. Edi Prio Pambudi, Deputy Minister for International Economic Cooperation of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs of Indonesia, and H.E. Sasithorn Palattadej, Senior Advisor of the National Economic and Social Development Council (NESDC) of Thailand, participated in a retreat session in Johor, Malaysia. The retreat focused on harnessing the potential of the blue economy through the IMT-GT framework. Also present were H.E. Scott Morris, Vice-President for East Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Pacific of the Asian Development Bank, and H.E. Satvinder Singh, Deputy Secretary General for the ASEAN Economic Community from the ASEAN Secretariat.
