9 July 2026, Batam —The 16th IMT-GT Working Group on Human Resource Development Meeting was convened in Indonesia and chaired by Thailand.
The Meeting reviewed the implementation of ongoing initiatives, discussed the implementation of capacity-building programmes for 2026, and deliberated strategic priorities for the IMT-GT Implementation Blueprint 2027–2031, including strengthening labour market intelligence, workforce competitiveness, skills recognition, and future-ready workforce development.
The Meeting reaffirmed IMT-GT’s commitment to enhancing regional collaboration in skills development and human capital development to support a more integrated, innovative, inclusive, and sustainable IMT-GT subregion.
