On 4th February 2021, the 19th IMT-GT Advisory Committee Meeting (ACM) was conducted virtually and chaired by IMT-GT Senior Official Hons. Dr. Rizal Affandi Lukman, Deputy Minister for International Economic Cooperation Indonesia. This meeting was also attended by IMT-GT National Secretariat Dato’ Ahmad Zamri Khairuddin, Director of Regional Development Division, The Economic Planning Unit (EPU) of The Prime Minister’s Department Malaysia, Dr. Wanchat Suwankitti, Senior Advisory on Policy and Planning, Office of The National Economic and Social Development council (NESDC) Thailand, Mr. Firdaus Dahlan, Director of Centre for IMT-GT Sub-regional Cooperation, and national Secretariat of IMT-GT member countries.

The meeting highlighted issues on how to strengthen CIMT role as the secretariat of IMT-GT cooperation. One of the important issues discussed was the preparation of IMT-GT Implementation Blueprint 2022 – 2026 which is intended to be endorsed by the upcoming IMT-GT Summit scheduled to be held in October 2021.
