22 July 2026, Medan — The 19th IMT-GT Working Group on Agriculture and Agro-based Industry (WGAA) Meeting was held in Medan, Indonesia. The Meeting brought together delegates from Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand to review progress under the Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Focus Area of the IMT-GT Implementation Blueprint 2022–2026.
Delegates reviewed the report of the 4th Project Implementation Team (PIT) on Palm Oil Cooperation Meeting and discussed opportunities to strengthen collaboration with the IMT-GT Joint Business Council (JBC) and the IMT-GT University Network (UNINET) in supporting regional agricultural development.
The Meeting reaffirmed the shared commitment of Member Countries to enhance cooperation in agriculture and agro-based industries as a driver of sustainable economic growth and food security across the IMT-GT subregion.
