In celebration of the 30th IMT-GT Anniversary, IMT-GT Subregional Cooperation successfully convened the 30th IMT-GT Senior Officials’ Meeting on the 27th of September 2023, in Batam, Riau Islands. The meeting was presided over by Hon. Dr. Edi Prio Pambudi, Deputy Minister for International Economic Cooperation, Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, Republic of Indonesia. The Malaysian delegation was headed by Hon. Dr. Mohamad Shaharin Umar, Director of Regional Development Division, Ministry of Economy, and Thailand’s representation was led by Hon. Dr. Wanchat Suwankitti, Deputy Secretary-General of the Office of the National Economic and Social Development Council (NESDC).

The meeting also recognised the participation of Hon. Mr. Alfredo Perdiguero, Regional Head of Regional Cooperation and Integration, Southeast Asia Department, from the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Hon. Ms. Kanchana Wanichkorn, Director of the Sectoral Development Directorate, ASEAN Connectivity Division, ASEAN Secretariat, and Mr. Firdaus Dahlan, Director of CIMT along with Head of Delegates of IMT-GT Joint Business Council (JBC) Mr. Sjahrian Kurnia Ramadhan and Head of Delegates of UNINET, Prof. Dr. Shahriman Zainal Abidin.
