21 July 2026, Medan — The 4th Project Implementation Team (PIT) on Palm Oil Cooperation Meeting was convened in Medan, Indonesia, bringing together delegates from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand to advance subregional cooperation in the palm oil sector.
The Meeting discussed preparations for the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Palm Oil Cooperation, adopted the Terms of Reference of the PIT, reviewed the outcomes of the IMT-GT Webinar on Oil Palm Smallholder Empowerment, and identified priority areas for future subregional palm oil cooperation.
The Meeting reaffirmed the commitment of Member Countries to strengthen collaboration and promote a more sustainable, competitive, and resilient palm oil industry across the IMT-GT subregion.
