The Centre for Indonesia–Malaysia–Thailand Growth Triangle Subregional Cooperation (CIMT) is the central secretariat of IMT-GT. Established in 2013, CIMT serves as the coordinating and implementing institution that drives cooperation among the three member countries.
CIMT facilitates collaboration between governments, the private sector, academia, and development partners to strengthen regional economic integration and sustainable development. Guided by the principles of inclusivity, reciprocity, and impartiality, CIMT transforms IMT-GT’s Vision 2036 and the Implementation Blueprints into concrete actions that generate meaningful impact across the subregion.
The CIMT Senior Management Team comprises representatives from the three member countries: Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand. The position of Director and Deputy Directors are selected and nominated by member countries according to alphabetical rotation to ensure balanced leadership and shared ownership within the subregion.
At present, the Director position is held by Malaysia, with two Deputy Directors representing Indonesia and Thailand.
