25 June 2026, Virtual — The Centre for IMT-GT Subregional Cooperation (CIMT), in collaboration with Project Implementation Team (PIT) of Palm Oil Cooperation successfully organised the IMT-GT Webinar on Oil Palm Smallholder Empowerment, bringing together speakers and participants from Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand to exchange insights on strengthening smallholder productivity, sustainability, certification, financing, market access, and regional cooperation.
The webinar highlighted the importance of empowering oil palm smallholders as a key driver of inclusive, sustainable, and resilient palm oil development in the IMT-GT subregion. The discussions also provided valuable inputs towards the further development of an IMT-GT Smallholder Empowerment Work Plan under the IMT-GT Palm Oil Cooperation.
