On 7 February 2023 Asian Development Bank (ADB), in partnership with the Indonesia Malaysia-Thailand-Growth Triangle (IMT-GT) Subregional Cooperation (CIMT) hosted a High-Level Investor Forum (HILF) on The New Ocean Energy Economy in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

With the theme “Introducing the New Ocean Energy Economy,” the main purpose of the forum was to support and promote substantial cooperation for innovative but scalable integrated ocean energy solutions and regenerative business activities in littoral states and communities.

Minister of Economy of Malaysia, Honourable Mr. Mohd Rafizi Bin Ramli, delivered a keynote address at the event. The event was also attended by Mr. Alfredo Perdiguero, Director for Regional Cooperation and Operations Coordination Division from Southeast Asia Department of ADB; Dr. Thuttai Keeratipongpaiboon, Director of International Strategy and Coordination Division from the Office of the National Economic and Social Development Council (NESDC) of Kingdom of Thailand; Mr. Andreas Dipi Patria, Head of Communication Bureau, Coordinating Ministry of Maritime and Investment Affairs Republic of Indonesia; and Mr. Firdaus Dahlan, Director of CIMT.

Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs Indonesia also participated the event and was represented by Mrs. Netty Muharni, Assistant Deputy Minister for Regional and Sub Regional Economic Cooperation.
