In preparation for the upcoming 13th IMT-GT Summit, CIMT has conducted a virtual meeting with the Senior Officials of IMT-GT member countries this morning, Tuesday 12, October 2021.
Chaired by the Honorable Dato’ Ahmad Zamri bin Khairuddin, Director of Regional Development Division in Economic Planning Unit, Prime Minister’s Department of Malaysia, the meeting was also attended by Honorable Dr. Edi Prio Pambudi, Acting Deputy Minister for International Economic Cooperation, Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs of Indonesia, Honorable Dr. Wanchat Suwankitti, Deputy Secretary General of National Economic and Social Development Council (NESDC) Thailand, Mr. Gary Krishnan, Senior Country Specialist of Southeast Asia Department from Asian Development Bank (ADB), and Mr. Firdaus Dahlan, Director of CIMT.
The meeting discussed extensively on agenda items to be brought to the IMT-GT Leaders’ Summit, among other: achievements under the Implementation Blueprint 2021 – 2021; projects completion under seven pillars of IMT-GT cooperation; progress cooperation with IMT-GT partners; and report on the preparation of IMT-GT Implementation Blueprint 2022 – 2026.
The upcoming 13th IMT-GT leaders’ Summit will be conducted virtually and chaired by the Prime Minister of Malaysia, scheduled on 28 October 2021.
