18 December 2025 — The International Workshop on Halal Products and Services, held in Bangkok in conjunction with the Thailand Halal Assembly 2025, brought together government representatives from Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand to strengthen subregional cooperation in the halal industry under the IMT-GT framework.
The workshop focused on identifying priority halal products and services, addressing key challenges, and exploring collaborative initiatives to enhance competitiveness, market access, and investment across the subregion. Discussions also emphasised policy harmonisation, networking, and strengthening the halal ecosystem, including greater MSME participation.
Participants exchanged insights on proposed cooperation guidelines, capacity-building programmes, and joint promotional initiatives, aligning future halal collaboration with IMT-GT’s strategic priorities and current Implementation Blueprint.
