On 23rd May 2023, the Director of the Centre for Indonesia-Malaysia-Thailand Growth Triangle Subregional Cooperation (CIMT), Mr. Firdaus Dahlan, was delighted to receive a visit from the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) Malaysia and Halal Development Corporation Berhad (HDC) at the CIMT Office in Putrajaya. The Delegates from MITI was led by Mr. Abdul Aziz Mohamad Sharkawi, Senior Principal Assistant Director, Industry Development Division, while the delegates from HDC was led by Mr. Hanisofian Alias, Chief Industry Development Officer.
CIMT, together with the delegates from MITI and HDC, engaged in a productive discussion centered around empowering the halal industry within the IMT-GT subregion. The visit marked an important step towards exploring potential collaborations among member countries, aiming to further enhance and foster the growth of the halal industry in the subregion.
