On 21 September 2021, Centre for Indonesia-Malaysia-Thailand Growth Triangle (IMT-GT) Subregional Cooperation (CIMT) had successfully held its second Implementation Blueprint (IB) Task Force Meeting, as part of the preparation for the formulation of the 2nd IMT-GT IB 2022-2026.
The meeting was chaired by the Honourable Dato’ Ahmad Zamri Khairuddin, Director of Regional Development Division, Economic Planning Unit, Prime Minister’s Department Malaysia, and was also attended by Hon. Mrs. Netty Muharni, Assistant Deputy Minister for Regional and Sub Regional Economic Cooperation, Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs Indonesia, Dr. Thuttai Keeratipongpaiboon, Director of International Strategy and Coordination Division, Office of the National Economic and Social Development Council Thailand, Chairman from seven IMT-GT Working Group, IMT-GT University Network, Asian Development Bank, IB2022-20206 Consultants and CIMT as secretariat.
Some of the important agendas discussed during the meeting includes exchange of views on eight focus area strategic frameworks and identifying each Working Groups indicators. The meeting also took consideration of the importance to adopt new recovery strategy in all focus areas in the IB 2022-2026 within the IMT-GT purview.
The IB 2022-2026 is expected to be implemented by all Working Groups by next year and will be part the guiding strategies for IMT-GT member countries, in paving the way for recovery from the pandemic and other challenges in key industries and development landscape.
