The Investment in IMT-GT remained relatively resilient for the period of 2017 – 2023. Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) continue to dominate investment in IMT-GT since 2017.

Domestic investment of Indonesia-GT increased from US$9.0 billion in 2022 to US$10.1 billion in 2023. FDI of Indonesia-GT registered a decrease to US$6.2 billion in 2023.

Malaysia-GT recorded a significant increase of US$26.7 billion for FDI in 2023. Domestic investment is increased compared to 2022 which registered US$4.6 billion.
