WORKSHOP ON IMT-GT RUBBER CITIES AND RUBBER INDUSTRY COOPERATION
July 13 Cooperation is the way forward for the regional rubber industry to flourish further and maintain a lucrative price for natural rubber, considering various potential in cross-border activities within the Indonesia-Malaysia-Thailand Growth Triangle (IMT-GT).Regional development division director of the Economic Planning Unit in the Prime Minister Department Dato’ Ahmad Zamri Khairuddin said the IMT-GT sub-region could be the centre for the global growth of rubber-based industries in the areas of healthcare and infrastructure, as well as, jointly promote regionally produced rubber automotive parts for original equipment manufacturer and replacement markets.
